South Coast Hemp Foods hosted a farm field day in Kentdale on the southern coast of WA in February . The event was organised by the WA Hemp Growers' Cooperative (HempGro)with the intent of exposing farmers in the region to Industrial Hemp as an option for them in their farming operations . The event was well attended with over 40 farmers viewing 3 different hemp cultivars in the week immediately prior to harvest .

Brad Skeggs (South Coast Hemp Foods) presented their operation which includes the farming and processing (seed drying , sorting and dehulling) of hemp seeds . Gail Stubber(EO Hempgro) explained the operation and services the Co-op provides to growers and Ken Bailey (Haslen Technology)presented focusing on the Agronomy of Industrial Hemp and regenerative agriculture.

South Coast Hemp Foods ( www.southcoasthemp.com.au ) is a vertically integrated food producer and offers a variety of hemp seed products for purchase by consumers nationwide via their web page. Their food processing, packing and distribution operations garnered a lot of interest from attendees. Brad Skeggs stated that "South Coast Hemp Foods was looking forward to more industrial hemp being produced  and was willing to assist farmers in the region with seed processing as the industry grows".

All indications are that there will be more farmers including industrial hemp in their operational mix in the 2022/23 growing season
