Government scheme to recognise improvements to natural land on farms

The Federal Government is pushing forward it's Biodiversity Stewardship Programme to certify farm areas.

The Federal Government is pushing forward it's Biodiversity Stewardship Programme to certify farm areas which have been revegetated or had trees planted in natural corridors, waterways fenced off from livestock and promoting livestock grazing and crop growing with soil as the measure.

"The program's centrepiece will be a certification system where environmental improvements are recognised by the Commonwealth, which would allow farmers to take their good work to the bank." SMH
